Yesterday, my friend who went overseas to pursue her dream just called me. She was crying and from her voice, I can really say that she’s really sad and longing for her friends and of course family.
I think it’s almost her second week there but good thing that she has new friends there and she’s in good hands. She told me stories about how her day-to-day basis is going. According to her, the hospital where she was assigned was very nice and big and the facilities are really modern and advanced. In fact, the hospital is still offering registered nurse jobs there especially for Filipinos that’s why she told me that if I know someone interested, I just have to tell her so she can recommend it.
Well, I really miss my friend. I just pray that she’ll do well there and I even though I know that we are going to see each other 1 year from now, I still hope that she’ll have time to go home even just for a while.
I totally admire her for her courage to be away from her family and friends and work on her own to pursue her dream and have a better future.
