Year End Party

Our Christmas party is over. As I’ve posted in my previous post, my friends and I had our party at Tagaytay and we had an overnight stay at one of the hotels there.

And since we can’t get enough of parties, we then decided to have a year-end party in celebration of the coming of 2011. It is actually scheduled tomorrow, December 30, but we still haven’t decided for the place. We are planning to go to a bar but we are having second thoughts because for sure, bars will be filled up with so many people by that time.

In addition, as part of our year-end party, we all agreed to give each other first year gifts as a simple remembrance. We just want simple ones just as to remind us of our 2010 and the coming 2011. So later, after my work, I’m going to the mall to look for something special that I can give to my friends.

Oh well, I’m really looking forward for tomorrow’s event. I’m sure, this will be as fun as our Christmas party!

Spending the Last Vacation Days Together

I am going to meet up again with my friends tonight. For some of my friends, short vacation is nearly over that’s why they really want to spend the rest of the days hanging out. And as for me, I am back to work so I really need this for me to get myself back on track for I am still not in the mood to go the office. LOL!

Actually, right at this moment, they are already at the mall to buy nursing scrubs for one of my friend because she’ll start working after the Holiday season and she’s pretty excited because this will be her first job as a registered nurse.

Right after my work, my boyfriend will fetch me here at the office and then we will go straight to where my friends are. Probably we’ll just follow them to the mall so we can have our dinner first because we sit for a cup of coffee and chat the whole night. For now, I really can’t wait for the clock to tick at 5:30.

Rant

I finally got my new LC bag. Unfortunately, I wasn’t totally happy when I received it because there was a big mistake in the delivery.

I ordered LC Planetes in Ebony about a month ago, and when I got the package, I was surprised that my bag comes in black color. It’s supposed to be brown but Magnums said that there was a bit of confusion when they delivered it because they ran out of stock of the color that I really want.

My point is, they didn’t even informed us that what they sent was black. They just delivered it and perhaps they think that it will just be okay with me. But things like this really matters to me since this involved money and I’ve worked hard for it just to buy that bag.

My sister already talked to magnums and they said that they will send another bag in Ebony but when I read their email, I just thought that they are still confused and looks like they still delivered a black one. I’m a bit frustrated and I really don’t want to wait for another month before I can use the bag. I just hope that they will really make it up to us for we are already a regular customer.

A Very Happy Feeling

Every year, my family always do charity work especially during Christmas. Before, we give parties to abandoned children in adaptation centers and there was also a time that we donated foods at the home for the aged.

This Christmas, we were not able to plan it earlier so we don’t have any parties to organize but instead, we chose to donate medical supplies like medicines, medical step stool, chairs, tables and even food to some public hospitals. In this way, we will not only help the doctors and the nurses but the patient as well.

Later this afternoon, my dad, mom, sister and I are scheduled to shop for our donations. My mom already talked to the hospital managers and they are already informed that we are going to visit them tomorrow afternoon to give them the supplies. They are very thankful to us and it for us, it will always be our pleasure to help those who are in need and share our blessings.

Talking About Our Future

Last two days, my boyfriend and I stayed at my sister’s house after I got home from work. My sister asked a favor from us if we can take charge of her kids first because they are going to church and have their groceries after.

We waited for them for a couple of hours and fortunately, the kids were so behave so we didn’t have a hard time taking care of them. We were even able to talk about something that we rarely talked about.

He just came up with the topic that talks about our future. So you see, as early as now, we are both looking forward to end up forever and that’s why he was so eager to ask me things like, what kind of wedding we want, what is my dream house and stuffs which regards to a married life.

Of course, the finances won’t be out of the topic. He said that currently, he is saving money because he wants to buy gold bullion as part of our future investment so that we won’t only depend on our jobs to secure our finances.

And so our discussion ended up when my nephew cried as he woke up. We then took care of him and after a while, my sister and her husband came.

Time to Sleep

It's exactly 4:26 in my clock the moment I started writing here in my blog. I know that I should be off to dreamland by now, but honestly, I just got home.

I was with my friends and boyfriend a while ago. We met up at around 8:30 in the evening and we decided to stay at one of our friends' house instead of having coffee at Starbucks just like we always do once a week.

As usual, we have a lot of catching ups to do so we talked until the wee hours. We started talking about gossips and of course the plan for our Christmas party which is the exactly the main reason why we met up. We were supposed to finalize the plan so we can finally book the accommodations since our plan is just few days to go.

We can’t actually wait for our party/Christmas getaway. But before anything else, I nee to sleep already because I am scheduled to go shopping later.

Still On Christmas Shopping

I can't believe how time flies for it's only 14 days to go before Christmas. I bet everyone is excited. Perhaps some are preparing for the foods to eat, clothes to wear or maybe, some are packing their things up for a short Christmas travel.

As for me, I'm still on shopping mode. My bad, I'm still not yet done with my shopping list and it's all because I'm too busy at work that I don't have time to visit the mall. But this coming Sunday, I'm scheduled to go to Rockwell with my boyfriend to buy my clothes since aside from the gift items that I need to buy, I also have to buy new clothes. I guess I have to be ready next month for my credit card bill for I'm so sure that I'll have a lot of shopping to do.

I'm excited for tomorrow and of course for Christmas.

All I Want for Christmas

For the past weeks, I'm really thinking of getting myself an SLR camera. I really want to own one ever since it was released for I am a camera addict and I enjoy capturing every moments of my life and even other people's lives.

But then I though that I also want a camcorder for Christmas. I've been actually planning to study film making so I guess it will be a great step to start practicing my skills. And because of this, I'm starting to look for a good deal with camcorders and I'm actually reading some digital camcorder reviews so I will be more oriented with the different models, specs and features.

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for now, hoping that I will be able to have enough money for it.

New Year = New Career?

On this day of your life, Vien, we believe God wants you to know ... that it's time you stopped hiding from life, and said yes to the adventure of being alive.

Enough of the routine already. Go on, have an adventure, - do what you always wanted deep within your heart. Do what brings you alive, and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.

Is this a sign? I think God is making a way to make me realize that I should not be afraid to follow what I want and fulfill my dream.

I know that I've worked hard enough to finish my studies but little by little, I’m starting to realize that I'm just not better with my career now. As you all know, I've always wanted to be in the fashion industry and honestly, I can't see myself in the I.T. industry for the next years.

I just hope and pray that this coming 2011 will be a great start for me to finally be in the place where I really want to be.

Family Time

Last Sunday, I went to Nuvali with my relatives. It was actually the Christening day of my niece Izzie so after the event, we all decided to go straight to Nuvali and spend the rest of the time there.

We arrived there at around 4:30. Right away, my sister bought tickets for the boating while the rest of us are checking the bazaar and the kids were feeding the kois. After the boat ride, we decided to go to Paseo de Sta Rosa which is just a 10 minute ride from Nuvali. There we decided to have our dinner. But before that, we checked out the outlet stores there to see if we can buy something for Christmas. We were able to buy 3 pairs of flip-flops from Havaianas and these will be my sister's gift to me and to my 2 cousins.

We visited various outlets and my cousins were able to buy jeans, while for my brother, he saw a rubber shoes at his favorite store and initially, he wanted to buy it but in the end, he chose not to since he already has plans to buy the Lebron James shoes that he's been eyeing.

And as for me, I was able to buy dress and shoes but I'm still not done with my shopping though so I still have to allot my weekend for it.

So after we had our shopping, we had our dinner and then finally, we went home. Everyone was tired yet happy for we all had a great bonding.

Getting Ready for 2011

In just a few weeks from now, another year is about to start. I know everyone is looking forward to it for we have another year to celebrate, cherish and be thankful for.

And as the year 2011 comes, slowly, my goals are becoming clear to me and somehow, I'm discovering which path I should go and follow. Not all dreams can come true as others may say but for me, if you are really motivated to reach a certain goal, then nothing is impossible.

This is why I'm switching plans for I believe that I'll be better there. Securing my future is not that easy. And that's why one of my plans is to get a cheap term life insurance. Second, I'll try my best to be in the career that I really want. I know it could be hard for me but I'm very motivated and I believe in myself that I can do it.

As years go by, I can see that I'm becoming more and more mature. As early as now, I really want to make sure that I'll have an assurance that whatever happens, my life would be secured.

This coming year can make or break us. It is just up to us on how we are going to make 2011 a better one.

Shopping at Noel Bazaar

Last November 28, my boyfriend and I had a free time and we both decided to go shopping. The initial plan was to go to Greenhills since that's where I usually shop, but then we heard about the Noel bazaar so we agreed to check it out.

I was on the look out that day for a dress since I have an event to attend to the following week. When we arrived there, we saw that there were lots of people so we thought that it would be hard to shop since the place is too crowded already. But when we entered, we found out that the place is big enough to accommodate many people.

There were, I think almost 500 boutiques there and that include the food stalls. We were like going crazy shopping because we saw so many things that we want to buy.

It took us 2 hours before we were able to visit almost every stall. In the end, I was able to buy a cute dress, blouse, pants and gift items for my friends and family. Likewise, my boyfriend was able to buy shorts and tees.

Before we went home, we tried some of the foods there because we were really starving.

It was a tiring day for the both us yet we enjoyed. In fact, we are planning to go back there for the next schedule of bazaar.

No More Stress

I read an article before that says; the feeling of wearing flat shoes is just tantamount to the feeling of wearing high heels.

They said that when you are wearing flats, your balance and muscles are not functioning well resulting to back pain, hip, muscle, joint pain, stress and the like.

Then I suddenly realized that it is true because whenever I go shopping wearing my flip-flops, I always end up having a back pain after the long hours of walking.

Now that there are alternatives to avoid this like the mbt shoes, I'm actually thinking of buying one since I've learned that this can really reduce stress and it is more relaxing to wear as this is designed to help the body move in a more natural way and to lessen the pain accumulated when working or even just walking or standing still. Likewise, this will also help you get into shape, which will surely be a great help to those who are working out and trying to lose weight.

For now, I'm still looking for a great deal for this shoes and I think, this can also be a nice idea for a gift to my relatives.

Christmas = Love + Care

Christmas shopping is definitely a very tiring job for all of us, plus the fact that we have to deal with lots of expenses. It's inevitable for some since Christmas is somehow associated with gifts and other kinds of token of gratitude.

Likewise, when Christmas is about to come, most people buy new clothes and lots of food to share within the family and friends.

As for me, I've been a bit busy lately for I always visit the mall because I'm looking for new clothes to wear on Christmas. I'm actually searching from online stores as well since it can be cheaper and less hassle because I don't have to line up at the cashier. In fact, I saw one at apple bottoms and I'm on the look out for chic shoes that I can wear with any style.

It's absolutely fun to shop but of course, we also have to consider our limitations especially our budget. After all, shopping is not the real thought of Christmas, it's sharing love and celebrating the birth of Jesus in the most peaceful way.

For Baby Izzie

It's my niece's Christening tomorrow and I'm excited because I'm one of the godparents that my brother and sister-in-law chose.

Then again, since I have a busy schedule, I haven't bought a gift for her yet. And besides, I still haven't decided on what to buy. I actually want to ask my brother or my sister-in-law first if there is still something that Izzie needs to have.

My brother told me that they are planning to buy my niece a new stroller since the one that they are using is quite big so it's not handy and they are having a hard time bringing it when they go to the mall or somewhere else. Plus, the casters of their stroller are not functioning well and maybe it was defective when they bought it and they were not able to check it carefully.

So now I'm thinking, instead of buying Izzie some clothes or shoes (which are my usual options), I might just share with the expenses so they can buy the stroller that they want. I can't shoulder all the expenses since I don't have enough budget so maybe, it will just be best if we share. It will be a benefit on both sides so I guess my brother will agree with me.

For now, I need to help them arrange and prepare everything for tomorrow so we won't be able to foret something.

Out With The Old, In With The New

I haven't talked about the big plan of our family for this year. We are soon going to move out in our house and say hello to a new environment.

No, we are not leaving the country but instead, we are going to buy a bigger house. This is a big step for all of us since there is a big amount of money involved. This is actually my sister's dream house that’s why she really wants to push through with it but of course, if you are going to ask me if I want to live there, then I would say yes.

It's a 126 sq. m lot with 4 floors. The house is fully furnished but still needs a bit of hardware restoration at some part. It's really the kind of house that I'm dreaming to have in the future and I guess it's a dream come true for me at this point in time.

Everyone is so excited to move there. Yet we have to wait for at least a 6 months before it happens even if we already sealed the deal with the seller.

I think this is a good start of the new year that is coming ahead and we all thank God for this wonderful blessing.

See You Soon

Photo snagged from magnums.net

I just received a good news from my sister. She said that my bag has been shipped already and it's coming in a maximum of 2 weeks from now.

I am so excited though I can't still use it when it arrives since I have to wait until December 30 before I can finally say that it's mine. Maybe you are wondering why.

It's actually an anniversary gift from my boyfriend. We don't like surprises that's why even before our anniversary comes, we already know the presents for each other.
Before, he's planning to buy me a dog because he knows that I really want a girl shih tzu but then I told him not to buy me one since I won't be able to take care of it full time because I always go to work and no one in our house will take charge. And so he thought of another option then he came up with a decision to buy me a new LC bag because I'm becoming addicted to it now.

In fact, I was the one who ordered it online but I have to give it to him when it arrives here and he'll keep it in a while then he'll just give it to me on our special day itself. It sounds a bit funny but I know he's only doing this for me to become more excited.

Oh well, I JUST CAN'T WAIT!
