Great Service

Ever since we subscribed with Direct Tv, we never had any sort of problems regarding their system. We always enjoy the service offered by them as well as the good quality that they invest in their product. But not until last week. I don’t know what really happened but our Direct TV suddenly shut down. There were errors in channel receptions and often times, it cannot receive signals.

So what my mom did is call for Direct TV Service that will response to our problem. She tried t elaborate and explained what happened and asked for the possible cause. My mom evenly requested for a visit so they can check the problems immediately.

Fortunately, their service was very fast to respond our request. They immediately approved our request and they sent their staffs to check what might happen in our case.

After they had conducted their inspection, it appeared that our Direct TV System was a bit damaged. Maybe because of the rain that it loses its connection that resulted to lack of signals. And now, since they already fixed the main problem, we can now use it again and thanks to their great service.

Running Out of Time

Oh well, I’m counting the days. It’s just less than a week before our defense in our thesis. To be honest, though I and my thesis partner know that we have a good algorithm, we don’t have enough time to finish it well.

We’ve finished doing the first chapter and now we are working on the second chapter. The final submission of the documents which include chapter 1 and 2 will be tomorrow and we still haven’t finalized it. The problem is; we are having a hard time looking for related studies due to lack of resources and references.

If we will not be able to submit our documents tomorrow, we would probably be dead. LOL! But seriously, if we will not be able to comply with the deadline, the worst case scenario is that we will not have our defense and we are going to take research writing 1 again by next semester. So I’m really hoping and praying that we will be able to make it just in time for tomorrow’s submission.

My Infected MacBook

My laptop is having some troubles now. It first started when my cousin downloaded some games from the internet and since my internet security was not yet updated it got infected by viruses. There were files that have been hidden by the virus and it’s hard for me since there were other documents that were missing.

I started to scan my laptop with my anti virus. It appeared that the virus has been multiplied and my antivirus cannot handle it anymore. It cannot clean up my system anymore since the viruses are really worst.

I planned to reformat my laptop but then I thought of some possibilities that a higher quality anti-virus might be able to clean it up. So instead, I installed a new antivirus and immediately scanned my laptop. After scanning, the viruses were lessened and there were some left. And so maybe, I still need to reformat my system to avoid any memory corruption.

Wanted: GUEST SPEAKERS

One of our projects for this semester is to conduct a seminar about Networking. Our target audiences are the second to third year college students from our school or from others. This will be a class project and we are planning to have this at the last week of September.

We already started the plans and we were already given designations for the seminar. Some are assigned for the research, technical, settings and others are the usherettes. For now, we are still having some troubles in searching for suitable guest speakers that are willing to participate in our seminar. And since we still haven’t found our guest speakers, we can’t decide on the business gifts that we are going to give to them as a token of appreciation.

Anyway, I just hope that we can finalize everything before the second week of September so we can settle for our venue and prepare for the invitations and souvenirs. We are definitely looking forward for the success of our seminar since almost half of our grades will be based here.

My fourteen year old cousin is a big NFL fan. He collects action figures and he never misses NFL games on sports channel. He always watch it and he even download games from the net and often times, he buys DVD collection of football matches. In addition, as part of his collection, he asks some of his friends and siblings if he can have their used tickets just like NEW YORK GIANTS TICKETS that he mostly have now.

Because of his great passion and interest, his dad decided to surprise him and treat him to watch NFL live on his birthday. His dad bought New York Jets Tickets for them together with his two siblings. He is really excited the moment his dad gave the tickets to him. He just can’t wait because it will be his first time to watch live.

He is definitely very thankful to his dad and actually, he again asked him if they can watch another game after his birthday. His dad said yes but this time it will be just the two of them. My cousin is now searching for Pittsburgh Steelers Tickets so that they can have early reservations.

Not For Me

My friend just happened to arrive last week with his colleagues. They went on a business trip and after their business agendas; they extended their vacation for another week to relax just a bit after a long meeting and seminars with their bosses.

They actually planned for a Myrtle Beach Golf Vacations since almost all of them are very keen in that sport. It was really their boss’ plan and they all decided to agree because they know that they will enjoy that stuff.

In fact, before the end of their business seminars, their boss already booked a Myrtle Beach Golf Package as a treat for his staff for a job well done. So it seems like everyone were happy when they heard this news.

After their one week extension, they came back here all together to face their duties again in the office. But then, I think my friend still has a hangover that he wants to go back there maybe next month for another Myrtle Beach Golf.

He asked us to join him but then I refused his invitation since I’m not fond of that sport. But as a compromise, I promised him to check for Golf Packages Myrtle Beach whenever he will push through with this plan. I think most of the boys in our group will come since they are all interested with this.

Passion

My friends and I get together last Monday. We went to one of my friend’s house who just recently moved to Makati because we were invited for their house blessing. We went their around 10am and we arrived there fifteen minutes before 11am, just in time for the ceremony.

When we got there, even before we entered their house, we noticed how her mom loves collecting beautiful planters. Ever since they were in their old house, you can see some of that already as decorations inside and outside their house.

This time, there were six outdoor planters aligned in front of the house. They were all designed by her mom and they look more appealing because it matches the paint of the house.

As we go inside the house, you can then see couple of indoor planters in their living room. And as we go around their house, you can see one planter in almost all the corner.

But what attracted us and the other visitors more is the indoor planter that her mom both few years back at Bangkok. It’s like a vintage one and it’s quite bigger among the other planters that they have there.

Our friends and I really can’t deny how keen her mother in collecting and designing these things. Plus, their house is really beautiful that we stayed there until the evening.

Most Awaited Trip

I was surprised by the news that my cousin told me earlier this evening. The company where she is currently working has chosen her to be the representative for the seminar abroad this coming September. This will be her first time to join a conference that’s why she’s feeling so nervous yet very excited.

Since she was given a two weeks break after the seminar, she decided to meet her friend who she hasn’t seen for so long and they planned to have a getaway trip. Her friend was the one who arranged everything including the reservations and other accommodations. They have decided to have an inclusive Jamaica trip which they dreamt for quite some time now.

Her friend booked a reservation at the caribbean hotels which they chose to stay since they know that the beaches there are very nice, plus they can also do other activities like different kinds of water sports.

They have already made their itinerary and it includes beach hopping near Ocho Rios hotels. They have a lot of time to walk around but majority of their activity is staying at the beach since they really love doing it even when they are here in the Philippines.

Both of them are really excited because they will finally meet and have some bonding time again and they both can’t wait to pack their bags because it is their first time to visit Jamaica.

Worst Part

As what I have said in my previous posts, my sister has finally decided to have their second baby. Everyone is very excited including their daughter Bela.

Speaking of pregnancy, I suddenly thought and pictured out myself as a pregnant woman. Of course I also want to have my own in the near future. I imagined myself having a baby in my womb but then I thought I will surely gain a lot of weight which is one of my greatest fears. I really don’t want to get fat because I am really not used to that style. Maybe if that thing happens, I would probably take the best diet pills for I will be desperate to lose weight. LOL!

And back to my sister’s pregnancy plans, I know that this is also the thing that she definitely dislikes when it comes to pregnancy, but I know that she will surely lose weight in a short period of time just like what happened before.

Absolutely Perfect

My newly wed cousin just came back from their honeymoon last week. They visited us yesterday with her hubby and she told us some stories with their trip.

During their wedding preparations, they discovered the Myrtle Beach Resorts and they immediately thought that it will be a nice place for them to have their honeymoon. They planned about this for almost a month and then after that, they have decided to book a reservation. They were indeed fascinated by the photos that they saw on the site that’s why they were really encouraged to push through with this.

While they were telling us stories about the resort, they said that the amenities are very nice and the services are always good enough for them. Even the Myrtle Beach Hotels are very clean and orderly that’s why they really had a great time during their stay their. Plus, the people are very friendly and accommodating and so they didn’t have a hard time socializing and communicating with them.

With their stories, I really believed how much they enjoyed staying at Myrtle Beach Resort. They were definitely more fascinated after they have experienced the place rather than just seeing it from the photos.

Maybe most of my sister’s friends knew how addicted her hubby is when it comes to collecting different stuffs. He first started collecting toys and action figures, and then later he collected different magazines, posters and even gold ira coins. I think he even started collecting ever since before they got married that’s why he really has a big collection now in their house.

Since my sister knows how passionate her hubby is in collecting, she invested a gold 401k for him. It was her birthday gift to him and as expected; her hubby was very happy and thankful.

In addition, her hubby bought himself another ira gold as part of their investment. They think that this can be useful in the near future that’s why they don’t mind if they spend a lot for it.

Fortunately, her hubby read an article about how to put gold in an IRA. They made further research about this since by doing so, they will be able to know more about their assets and they will not be that ignorant when it comes to the uses and benefits of their gold as well as its worth.

So when they were able to acquire a nice article about this, they immediately made their own articles about how to put gold in my IRA. They’ve done this as somehow part of their journal so that they can monitor their different current assets that they can use for their future needs.

Thumbs Up!

Last May was the final getaway of our family for summer of 2009. My sister was the one who organized everything since she’s always been the expert when it comes to planning events and travels. She checked on every detail including the accommodations, foods, reservations and of course the whole place through the internet.

When we arrived at our destination, the staffs welcomed all the visitors including us with drinks and music. The whole place was so nice including the beach and the pool. The crews were very accommodating and they always make sure that their visitors will have the nicest stay.

As we checked on our rooms, the smells of the humidifiers were very relaxing. It rejuvenates the mind and body as the soothing feeling of freshness is present inside the room.

The best part of the room for me is the bathroom which is big and complete with clean bathroom accessories which I liked most because I always want a clean bathroom especially when I’m in other places.

Likewise, the table and counter organization at the bar is very orderly and I like the way they presented their menus and I also love their table settings.

All in all, we really loved the place and it only shows that my sister is really a pro when it comes to this. LOL!

Not Yet For Me

If I will be moving to another country, I honestly can’t imagine myself. I am a type of person who’s having a hard time adjusting with the new environment. I always feel alienated even though I have some company.

I just suddenly thought about this because my aunt wants me to live with her at New York after I graduated from college. She told me that it will be best for me to work there since they have plenty of opportunities for my field. And then I thought that it is a great chance for me but of course I don’t want to live far from my parents and just like what I’ve said, I can’t easily adjust that’s why I’m afraid that I will not be able to enjoy my stay there even though there are lots of activities to do like the Direct TV in NY.

Then my aunt said that it is just normal from the start. Of course it won’t be easy for me but little by little, I will be able to catch up with things. I thought that if I will push through with her offer, I can picture myself staying in the room the whole day while watching with Direct TV services. Likewise, I can go shopping at the malls but I don’t want to go alone.

And so I concluded that life will be harder for me. Though I can have lots of shopping and I can subscribe to Directv to avoid boredom, I still can’t deal with that especially with the fact that I will be away from my family.

So I guess I’m really not yet ready for this kind of life. Maybe in the next couple of years, I will be able to take risk for a better future.

My cousin has been thinking of buying a new house. It’s been his plan for almost two years but up to now, he still can’t decide about this. He might soon be planning to get married that’s why he wants to have his own house for his future family.

Actually, at first, he just wants a condo unit but my sister said that it will be hard for them to maintain a unit since it is more expensive, plus a condo unit is not that suitable for my cousin who plans to have a somehow big family. My sister then suggested the manufactured homes that she found on a site. She told my cousin that this will be more ideal for them. Likewise, even my sister wants to purchase one of this for our family.

For now, my cousin is still thinking and comparing about the benefits, advantages and disadvantages for his plans. I just hope that he will find ways to make up with a better decision.

Solved!

Garbage is one of the problems of my mom as a Chairman in our Barangay. There are many people throwing their junks anywhere they want and when rain comes, these junks are clogged in the canals. These happen every night and some people sneak in and hide so that they won’t be caught throwing garbage anywhere.

My mom is always getting upset about these. That is the reason why she implemented a law wherein whoever will be caught throwing will be punished. But then, people didn’t mind these penalties and they still continue to do it. So my mom immediately looked for an alternative and she tried to check on the schedule of the garbage collector so that people will just throw their garbage straight to the truck just like the NJ junk removal.

For two weeks now, people are starting to learn the proper way of throwing and they now know how to discipline themselves. Good thing that my mom thought about this solution because it is very advantageous to us since we can maintain a clean surroundings.

Amazing Incident

To be honest, before, I never believed that diet pills are effective in losing weight. I thought that it will just give harmful effects to people using it. But then, there was an incident wherein all my doubts where completely vanished.

I was at the mall last week and I accidentally bumped into a girl. By that time, I think it was her fault since she’s not looking at her way. Of course my initial reaction was to get pissed since she didn’t even apologize immediately. So when I looked back to her again, hoping that she will finally say sorry, she suddenly called my name and I was shocked because I didn’t expect that she knows me. But then after a few seconds, I suddenly noticed that she was my former classmate way back in elementary.

I swear I didn’t notice her because before she was a very fat girl but now, she’s really different. She lost a lot of weight that’s why I hardly recognized her. She expected that I’ll be shocked since she knows that I know how she looked like before. And so she said that she was desperate before that’s why she took Fastin which was prescribed by her doctor. It’s a diet pill which helps burn fats easily and faster.

And that is the reason why I now believe in the benefits of diet pills. That was the first incident that I have proven these kinds of medicines effective for losing weight.

Proud to be...

I am a full blooded Filipino and I am so proud to be one. I will never be ashamed of it for I was raised with love and respect for my country.

As I witnessed the nation praying together for our dearly beloved President Cory Aquino, from the time that she was diagnosed with Cancer, up to the time that she finally laid to rest, I was so moved by the power that every Filipino showed to make President Cory feel loved, cared and idolized. For without her, we won’t be free. That’s why I was so moved when I saw thousands of people gathered together as one nation to show that the Filipino spirit is still alive as they walk with tears and sorrows as they join the parade leading to President Cory’s funeral.

I can feel how hard it is for every Filipino to see the casket in front of them knowing that our mother of democracy has finally said goodbye and happily joined her Creator and her loving Ninoy.

I am so proud to be a Filipino. It will always take a lot of COURAGE, LOVE and RESPECT to be one! And so as one nation, we will continue what President Cory has started and we will always protect our country’s democracy.

LABAN PILIPINAS! LABAN FILIPINO! The battle is not yet over.

Gadgets Galore

Many people nowadays depend on technology. Mostly, our world is influenced by the benefits that we can acquire with the use of technology.

Why? It is simply because technologies do a lot of work in our lives. The power of making our works easier and faster is enough for the people to prefer using this. Just like the electronics that we have today. We cannot deny that these things are non-sense and useless, because most companies here and even outside our country are generalized by computers, cell phones and other gadgets.

Likewise, technologies not only help us in making our loads easier, but they also serve as entertainment to most of us. As gadgets are being developed, more applications are being added through the use of the internet which is one of the most widely used technologies.

But then, we should not abuse it. We should still learn how to work on our own no matter how much effort, time and energy we need. In this way, we can develop the natural skills that every individual has.

I Badly Need Rest

Because of all the sleepless nights, pressure and stress that I encountered for the past months, sad to say, but I lost a lot of weight. Yes, you’ve read it right. I became thinner as I used to be. It’s like, I’m taking ephedrine for quite some time. So I guess you have an idea how thin I am now. Skinny, bigger eye bags, and much more of that. I don’t look fresh now because I always look so haggard because I barely get enough sleep. Three hours of sleep is long for me during this time.

Oh well, I guess I can’t do anything about this because this is part of college life. I’m doing my thesis now and other case studies that’s why I am too busy. My social life is gone, and I don’t even have time to fix myself now.

I just wish that all of my hard works will be worth it. I just want to finish everything. I want to graduate on time so please pray for me.

Just Months Away

Ber months are already coming. The weather is starting to be cold. The season is changing and we all know what it means. The most awaited holiday of all, Christmas. It’s quite early for me to talk about it, but sorry guys, I am really a fan of this celebration, LOL!

Early Planning

Most of our relatives are starting to wonder why my sister, my cousin and I are very busy preparing for a Christmas party as early as August. They thought that it is too early to make party Christmas Invitations which is what we are planning to do now.

Then again, we explained our side. As the party planners of the family, we are thinking of celebrating Christmas in a different way. That’s why we are starting to make plans now even if it is still four months away.

DEAD TIRED

That is how I can describe myself now. I’m being so pressured and stressed with all of my school works. Now I can finally say that being a Computer Science student in PLM is like “SUICIDE”. LOL!

Things are becoming more and more complicated as we go through with all our major subjects. As I can remember, we have five case studies and defenses ahead of us. And here’s the catch, all defenses are scheduled on the third week of August, and guess what? We haven’t started anything yet which means that we are so DEAD!

Oh well, in the first place, why am I in this effin course? Hahaha. I don’t belong here. But then again, I’ve come this far. I don’t have any choice but to strive harder and do my tasks. Though things are really hard for us, we still don’t know where to start since work loads are continuously hurled at us.

We need guidance. I just hope that we can all surpass this test and face the trials ahead of us with confidence. I know we can do better. No one should give up!

Reddish Cheeks

My friend has been having some skin problem on her face. There are white spots appearing in her cheeks and it will start in just a small spot then after some time, it will become larger. It is very evident since the infected parts sometimes become reddish and it somehow appears like a rashes.

She doesn’t exactly know where it came from but she realized that when she started using bath soap as her facial wash, it turned out that her skin became dry. And I think that was the main reason of her infection on her cheeks. Her skin was irritated with the bath soap that she used for her face which results to infection.

I suggested visiting her dermatologist so she can have a remedy before it damaged her whole face since I can see that the infected part is getting larger now. She immediately agreed with me and she visited her dermatologist the day after.

Her dermatologist gave her a day face cream so that it won’t damage her skin more when exposed to sun. And she was also given some ointments and other creams that she has to apply in the morning and evening.

Fortunately, the spots are getting lighter now and the itchiness that she feels are lessen. She’s very thankful that was able to control it earlier.

Techie Fever

As technologies improves nowadays, different gadgets are being invented, different cures and medicines for rare disease are being discovered and even other things that are being automated are obviously seen. These technologies are very advantageous to us, but somehow, it can also do harm.

Like for instance, losing weight in our times now is very easy, unlike before that all you can do is exercise and have a diet which is very hard for people losing weight to do because they get tired easily when exercising since they have no enough energy for they don’t eat a lot.

But during these days, losing weight is not that hard for people though they still have to do the efforts of exercising and diet. But with the help other diet pills, they can easily get rid of their fats in a shorter period of time. But then, people always have to be extra careful in taking these medicines as their maybe some local brands that are not prescribed by the doctors. So it is much better to consult the doctor first so that people can be sure of the best fat burner that they have to intake and suited for them.

Let The Games Begin

My cousin is a certified football addict. He collects nfl action figures and he always watch games in the television and sometimes, he even downloads previous games from the internet.

And so when his sister ask him if he wants to watch nfl games live, he got really excited and didn’t hesitate to say yes. Since he’ll be celebrating his birthday next month, his sister told him that he will watch nfl and it will be her treat for his birthday.

Of course, my cousin started looking for nfl sunday ticket schedule. He checked the time of the game that he wants to watch and he at the same time, he checked the rates of the tickets.

When he found out the nfl sunday ticket price, he immediately told his sister so they can reserved the tickets for the both of them. They were able to order two and they both can’t wait to watch the game.

Due to his excitement, when he got their tickets, he took a picture holding the nfl sunday ticket and he send his pictures to me via email. I think he will definitely enjoy watching the game.

Early Plans

My dad wants to have some vacation this coming this December. I know it is too early to discuss this but as early as now, things are being planned and arranged by my dad.

He really wants to go abroad so he can also visit his relatives at California. He already asked his cousins there about the different places that we can visit. One of his cousins suggested the Santa Monica Beach and he already told my dad that he can help us with Santa Monica Beach Accommodations.

My dad immediately asked me to check the website and as far as I have seen, the place is really nice. And also I tried to check the rates of Santa Monica Beach Hotel and I found out that they offered cheap prices that are very affordable.

Until now, my dad is still undecided if we are going to push through with this plans since we have conflicts with the schedules, but then, my dad really wants to go so I guess I just have to get more info and show it to my dad.

Well, I’m quite excited about this though I am not so sure if I can come with them because I still have to work on my thesis even if it is our Christmas break.

Saturday 9: Rain

1. What do you typically like to do on a rainy day? Stay at our house, read books, watch movies while drinking a hot chocolate drink.

2. Tell us about the last time you did something you later regretted, that you can share with us. When I didn’t get serious with one of my minor subjects last semester, I failed!

3. I recently got an email from a lover from a very long time ago. I was asked "Have all your dreams come true?" If it were you and it was from someone you remember fondly, how would you answer the question? Just casual, “Not yet, but I know eventually, all my dreams will come true.”

4. If you had a job interview and was asked, "If you were an animal, what kind would you be (other than human?)" How would you answer that question? If I were an animal, I choose to be a tiger or a lion. They are considered wild animals yet we still have to learn something more about them to know their good side. Like me, people may sometimes be judgmental. They may say that I am weak but when you try to know me better, I can be a wild one in terms of my capabilities.

5. Do you think it is a good idea to share with a new lover stories of your past lovers? I think so.

6. When do you think it is permissible or even important to lie? Uhmm, if you have to save someone from trouble? Not so sure about my answer.

7. What was the last thing you did that you never thought you would? I don’t know.

8. What is one important lesson that you learned from your mother? Live life to the fullest.

9. What is one important lesson that you learned from your father? Life can be tough at times but there will come a chance when you can move forward and live better.
