Most Awaited Trip

In just a month, my sister and her hubby will finally fly to Europe. This August, they are scheduled for a Europe tour and they will stay there for about three weeks. It sounds like a lot of fun and I think this is a dream come true for them especially for my sister.

I can see how excited they are. Actually, my sister has been busy preparing their itinerary and she’s a bit confused because she can’t decide which place to visit first. Fortunately, she has already found hotel reservations with the help of outer banks and it became easier for her to book a hotel for a very affordable price.

On the other side, both of them feel a little bit frustrated as they have to leave their daughter for three long weeks. They chose not to let Bela join them as this was also the suggestion of my parents because they thought that Bela can’t handle the long travel. It’s just sad because they will surely miss their daughter and also, Bela will definitely look for them.

Mixed emotions were felt by my dearest friend as they finally moved into the house that their family newly bought. She felt a bit sad for she will be away from us and happy on the other side for she will be experience a new life with different people. Of course it was hard for her to adjust but eventually, everything just went perfect for their new home was surrounded by a great aura of friendly people.

For less than a week, she was then able to cope with her new environment. Their family has settled with their new stuffs in their new home. The order and the way of the mailboxes in their subdivision never became a predicament to them as every house has its own.

Believe it or not, mail box has been a necessity to them as they check it every day for their house bills and even for letters. And that’s why; they became satisfied as they have one in their house.

Actually, my friend told me that if they don’t have a mail box, her mom planned to look for a store that manufactured and sell mail boxes as they always want their letters to be organized ad piled up in one place.

Well I just hope that every detail in their new house was finally settled. And of course, I pray for their safety and I know that they are all happy and contented now.

The Power of Technology

I’ve mentioned from my previous posts that I had my OJT at the Bureau of Immigration here in Manila. I had a very great experience because the entire staffs as well as the head of the department where I was assigned gave me a warm welcome that made me feel very comfortable to work with them.

I was then assigned at the Computer Section. And as expected, the staffs have a very high intellect when it comes to computer technology and everything is computerized. This is the main reason why I never wondered that they use keyless lock for their doors.

Almost every department uses this biometrics instead of the old fashioned lock. I think that this keyless lock is more secured since it uses the fingerprints of the people who have the access in each room. Unlike the locks that use keys, I think that it is not that safe because anyone can duplicate the keys.

And so I thought of having a keyless lock at home so we can be more protected by strangers but then, I don’t think that we can afford this for now. But maybe eventually, we can have one of this.

My Birthday Celebration

I just celebrated my birthday last Wednesday, June 10. It was a bit different for me since I didn’t stay at home but rather went out and spent the whole day with my friends. It was very fun because we did lots of things like we eat, watch a movie, played bowling and even went for a little shopping and they paid for all my shopping stuffs.

We ate at Yellow Cab and after that, we watched Angels and Demons. They surprised me with two different cakes and they were really delicious. They lighted up the candles and sang a birthday song for me and of course, as a birthday celebrant, I made a wish and blew the candle.

Meanwhile, my long time best friend suddenly showed up and I was surprised because it was really unexpected since she living somewhere far now. She handed me some brownies made by her mom, which is totally my favorite.

Finally, we went to Starbucks, which is our favorite hang out, and we decided to have some coffees and cookies for our snack and then after that, we went home so I can spend a little time for my family.

Let's Continue to Pray

The number of victims of A (H1N1) is still increasing and the said virus is continuously spreading in different places. Unfortunately, we are said to have the largest number of victims in Asia.

Because of this, many companies and most especially schools are taking a lot of precautions to avoid this infection. They started using some devices that will able to detect the health status of every individual entering in a certain company. Likewise, schools conducted general cleaning in order to maintain a clean campus and they always make sure that every student is in good health by requiring them to visit their clinic and ask for their doctor’s medical approval.

However, this doesn’t mean that our government should not do something about this predicament. In order to secure the safety of every individual, they should do something productive to somehow resolve the issue. And most especially, there should always be enough medicare supplement so that the victims will be monitored properly.

Well I hope, eventually, this virus will just vanish like as if it never existed and I’m praying for the fast recovery of the victims not only here in the Philippines but also in other country.

There's Always a Next Time

I heard that my sister is planning to go to Thailand this September. Her hubby has a training there for three days and he wants my sister and their daughter to go with him. Actually, my sister told me about this and she’s asking me if I want to come since she’s also planning to ask my parents to go with them.

Of course, my initial reaction is I want it. I really want to go with them since we’ve been planning to go there for a year now. We were supposed to book a flight there last November but we preferred to go to Hong Kong instead.

Unfortunately, I suddenly realized that I cannot come with them. I remembered that I’ll be a lot busy this year because I have so many things to do regarding my school and I have to focus on my case studies and thesis. I definitely don’t have time for travels and it’s quite frustrating. But then again, I have no option since studies are more important and after all, it will be my last year in college so I really have to work hard.

Oh well, I guess I just have to deal with “next time”. When I’m done with my school, I will have all the time to travel with my family and friends. For now, studies are on top of my priorities.

The Initial Plans

Just this afternoon, we were planning to go to Bulacan to look for some plants that will be perfect for our house there. My sister’s hubby is planning to develop a very nice landscape plus, he’s planning to have a butterfly farm there. I really don’t know what drives him to do this and it seems that he still has so many plans for our house at Bulacan.

Furthermore, he’s even looking for a landscaper that can help him with his preparations. In fact, he already listed some plants that he wants to buy and he actually thought of buying deer resistant plants. But then again, we thought that these plants are not available here in our country.

Unfortunately, we were not able to go to Bulacan since it’s a bit late and we still have to drop by at the church to hear the mass. So instead, we just decided to go the mall right after the mass since my niece Bela kept on saying that she wants to go to Toy Kingdom to buy dinosaurs.

For Our Safety

It’s been said that Security System is very important especially in some establishments and other big companies. Of course this is really a basic need for them since they are holding a big investments and this will be helpful in terms of protection.

Likewise, I never thought that even at home, this is really a necessity. I just thought about this when I heard the incident happened in one of our neighbors. There were three robbers who came to their house but good thing they have this ADT that’s why they were immediately alarmed when the robbers forced themselves to come in. Nothing bad happened to the family and the robbers did not able to get anything, not even a single centavo in the house. And the good part was they were caught by the police because the incident was reported immediately by our neighbors.

This incident gave us an idea to have a Home Security System because this is definitely a big help to us. This can surely protect us in some circumstances like the one that I mentioned above. And so for now, my parents are still thinking about it by considering the benefits that we can have.

My Skin Problem

It’s been years since I started to have pimples and up to now I still have some and it really irritates me a lot. My dermatologist said that I have a hormonal imbalance that’s why I do have many pimples. She even advised me to take hormonal treatment but then I refused it because I’m worried that it might have a bad effect when in the future.

Likewise, for the past months, I don’t get enough sleep because I’m too busy with so many things including school and that result to pimples again.

And since I don’t want to undergo a hormonal treatment, my dermatologist gave me the best acne treatment. I’ve been using it for months and I can say that it really prevents pimples since it lessens the production of oil in my face. It is really effective because I have lesser pimples now and even the marks are getting lighter.

I am very thankful for this and I hope that I can have a pimple free face soon.

My cousin needs help for his research that will be featured in one of the GMA’s shows. He’s currently looking for a couple ranging from 13-22 years of age who has a story that looks like Romeo and Juliet in real life.

With My Girlfriends

Right after my class this afternoon, my friend called me and she was inviting me to visit their new condo unit together with our other friends. Since all of us are free, we decided to go so we can hang out and spend some time.

It was our first time to visit their unit since they just finished furnishing and arranging everything last week. When we got there, the place is nicely furnished and they have this fabulous lighting in their living room that caught our attention.

We arrived there around 4 in the afternoon. We decided to watch some movies and we even cooked some popcorn so we can have something to eat while watching. After that, we played cards and stated chatting about some gossips and other things happening. By 8 in the evening, we started cleaning the place and then we all went home by 9.

It was a short but lovely night for all of us. We all had fun and we indeed enjoy our stay there. Actually, we are already planning to have an overnight stay there next week but we are still not sure since we have classes by then already.

Anyone Can Help

Last week, my friend is inviting me to come with her and join her organization which conducts charity works and such things that go with it. Since I am not into something, I decided to join them and I even ask our other friends to participate in this group since we love charity works.

Our first project is to visit some public hospitals. We tried to check if they have enough supplies for their patients especially for those who don’t have enough money to sustain their needs. As we checked the things in the hospitals, we noticed that they have insufficient medical supplies and that’s why they cannot support the needs of other patients.

Due to these circumstances, we planned to ask for sponsorships to some companies and even politicians. We are trying to ask for their help to supply the needs of public hospitals like medicines, lift chairs for the old ones, oxygen, stretchers and all that.

Hopefully, they will soon respond to our request in order for us to accomplish our project.

Back to School

It’s been years since my sister graduated from college. And ever since she graduated, she just focused on her work and practiced technical and programming skills.

But just last month, I found out that she and her hubby decided to enroll in online college courses. I asked them why and they told me that they miss the thought of studying. Actually, I find it a little weird that they want to go back to school because in my situation now, if you will ask me, I will honestly tell you that I don’t want to study anymore because at times I cannot handle and deal with too much pressure and school works.

Then I realized that maybe, there will come a time wherein you will miss going to school and doing some assignments, papers and projects. And I think that’s exactly what they felt that’s why they have decided to study again despite of their busy schedule and heavy duty at work.

Oh well, I wish them luck and I know that all their hard works will be worth it. I just hope that they will be able to balance their time with their work, studies and their daughter.

Happy Birthday Month

June has started and this means that a lot of birthdays is soon to come. June is the birthday month of our family. I will be celebrating my birthday this June as well as my brother, my grandmother, cousin and my soon to be sister in law.

Actually, I still have no plans for my birthday but I think my friends are planning something for me but they still don’t want to tell it to me. My birthday will be on June 10 and I don’t know if I can go out and party somewhere since I have a class until 9 in the evening.

Well anyway, I and my sister are planning to have something for my grandmother. We are thinking if we can buy gold accessories for her since she really likes such stuffs. But then, we are still figuring out if we have enough budgets for this given that we have lesser time to save money.

So I guess, we just have to talk about this again so we can decide already because we are definitely running out of time.

It’s been very superficial that our country is still facing economic crisis. It has affected many business and even individuals. The continuous oil price hike, goods in the market and other commodities have made a great impact in our country which leads to many disadvantages.

As we can see, some big companies and even small business decided to close and stop their transactions because of what we call the recession. There are many losses in our resources that are very visible in our country today.

Because of this, our family wants to make sure that no matter how low our economy is, we still have an assurance that we will have enough budgets for our everyday life. My parents decided to look for life insurance leads that may help protect our properties. In this way, we will have securities and we will be somehow be safe from the crisis that we our country is currently facing.

By this time, we should always be prepared to avoid circumstances that may affect our lives especially our future.

Getting Ready

In just a few days, I’ll be going back to school and I’ll be honest that I am not yet ready for it. As this school year starts, it will then be the start of my last battle, and I should survive this even if this will be the strongest battle that I will face.

It’s my last year in college and as expected, there are more duties and responsibilities that I have to take. And that’s the reason why I am not yet ready for school. The tasks that will be assigned to us will be a lot harder than we thought. I’ll be doing my thesis by then and it will take a long time to do it.

I’m really nervous. I don’t know if I can do this thing but I really have to. I want to graduate on time. I don’t want to fail. I should be more optimistic and I should be more responsible now.

I wish myself a good luck and I hope that I can get myself ready for this school year.

Last Summer Outing

Last May 30-31, I and my friends went to Batangas to have our last summer outing. We had an overnight stay and we did enjoy each other’s company though we were not totally complete since one of our friends was not able to come due to some problem regarding her busy schedule.

We decided to meet at 7:30 in the morning so we can go by 8:00. We traveled for about four hours and we were able to arrive at the resort by 12 noon. We were a bit lost that’s why we traveled that long. By that time, we were all starving since some of us were not able to eat breakfast.

We checked in first and then we immediately ordered for our lunch so we can eat and go swimming afterward. The staffs were very accommodating and they really served us well.

The facilities are nice and well organized especially their rooms and bathrooms. We booked the family room which has two queen sized beds that can accommodate six persons. The cottage that is in front of our room has a sleep number bed that is definitely very comfortable for us that’s why we decided to stay there while we are having our snacks.

We really enjoyed our stay there. We were able to relax and spend quality time together. I will post some of our pictures soon.
