Party Planning
My sister is currently working on her plans for her daughter’s 3rd birthday party. She’s trying to search for some gift guides so she can have ideas for all the stuffs she needs for the party. She’s starting to look for the best venue so she can have an early reservation.
Other than that, my sister is planning to hire some party performers so that the kids will surely enjoy the entire program. She’s even starting to look for some party gifts not only for the kids but also for the host and performers that she will hire and will take over the party as a token of appreciation.
She’s thinking of giving the performers a very fashionable margarita set but she’s not yet sure about it. She’s still having her second thoughts because she thinks that it will not be that useful for them.
Oh well, I wish my sister a good luck for her plans. I hope her daughter’s birthday party will be s successful one.

Let's Work For A Better Change
A lot of people today are engaged with different illicit drugs as well as alcohols. They continue to use these even though they know that these can possibly harm them and worst, ruin their lives. We can never deny that it’s been a catastrophe spreading from all over the places in the world. As time goes by, these taboos are still not yet given the right solutions. Our government still doesn’t give great focus to stop the use of these predicaments instead they are focusing more on the things that will make them more popular and remembered.
Let’s face it. We don’t have better drug treatment center for the victims of drugs. We lack on different facilities and that should be the first thing that must be done by our government. They should develop such places so it can be more useful for the victims.
Another thing, we should also maintain the use of alcohol rehabilitation so that victims will be able to change themselves in such a way that they will realize the wrong things that they are doing. This will also enable them to improve and live a much better life.
Needless to say, our government must be the one to encourage the victims to go on rehab so they can learn the different consequences of using drugs. They must be given proper education to save them from the different miseries that it can cause them. Their attention must focused more on teaching the youth and influencing them to stay away from these burdens.
I just hope that a lot of changes will soon be done. I hope that every single person will start to learn how to value their lives and will be able to discipline themselves and do their responsibilities.

Good Work Mom
We can definitely define the personality of a person or a certain family by just looking and considering the way they handle the things in their house and how well they maintain it clean and in order in a very simple manner. You can see how creative or resourceful they are by looking at the way they present every room to other people.
Last weekend, I was watching a late night show with my mom. A lot of things were discussed during the show. It talks about the different assets of a house that we must observe and must be given more focus. They even showed some ways on how to decorate a house as simple as possible and yet beautiful. They presented some tips in maintaining the different furniture that can be found in a house and obviously, it’s really useful and very easy to do. They pointed out that we don’t actually have to buy furniture that is too expensive because there are other stuffs that are definitely cheaper. It is just on how the way we are going to present it and take care of it.
My mom obviously enjoyed the show and so was I. Because of that, she thought to redecorate our house to enhance its beauty so that it will look more attractive to other people. And because of her eagerness, she even planned to buy new stuffs for our house including rugs and new curtains for our living room.
I volunteered to help my mom and she was delighted with that. I made different suggestions which really helped her to produce better plans. One of my suggestions was to look for cheap rugs so we can save more money and use it for other things. I even suggested buying bin bags for our living room that would match the carpets and fortunately, she agreed.
After finishing all the plans, he asked my dad’s help to accompany her to buy all the things we need. And after that, we started putting every single piece at their respective places. We finished everything for two days and our house looks prettier now and very organized. The area rugs really matched with the furniture in our living room and so as with the curtains. The bedrooms look really nice and everything is in order.
I guess this is a job well done for my mom!!

My Cooking Agenda
I am very interested in cooking particularly in baking. Even when I was a little kid, I always help my mother to prepare the things needed for cooking. Because of this, I had a thought of enhancing and developing my skills in cooking. I searched for some sites that I can consider in studying culinary and lucky for me, I was able to find one. I found the best facilities and curriculums at http://www.baychef.com/ which really inspired me even more.
I really want to study the different cooking and baking techniques that‘s why I’m having my thoughts to invest for a very good school that will help me broaden my knowledge in the field of cooking. I am willing to take more time in studying this kind of stuffs since this will also benefit me because I also want to put up my own restaurant someday.
I really hope that I will be able to have a chance for this matter since this can also be a great way to start my own business and be one of the successful chefs that we have today. I know this will take much time and effort but I’m ready to give all of them just for the sake of learning.

Cebu! Cebu!

People travel for different reasons. They may want to simply relax, engage in different activities and adventures not found in metro, or maybe experience different cultures. Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort answers most of the reasons why it’s okay to be far from home for some time.
Deriving its name from the Cebuano term “nisilong” meaning, “to take refuge”, Sumilon surely lives up to its name. Imagine having a whole island surrounded by pristine emerald waters and beautiful and amazing coral reefs. If you are tired of having to share a beach with a mass of people, you’ll never have to worry about that in Sumilon. The Philippines’ first marine sanctuary is a quiet, relaxing retreat.
Not to say that you’ve got nothing to do there. For adventure seekers, you many go fishing, whale and dolphin watching, snorkeling, scuba diving or kayaking. Or you may take a trek around the island. History enthusiasts can visit neighboring towns, like Argao and Oslob. Or you can simply enjoy the sun, sea and sand.
So, if you’re tired of the city’s hustle and bustle and want a real pamper treat with your family or friends, this little known island is your best bet.

College Life
I’m in my third year of college now, so as expected, there are too many projects that have to be done as part of our requirements. Most of these are group projects and really, we have to do more effort to come up with the best result.
The hard thing in doing our projects is we don’t have enough time to prepare for it since our houses are miles away from each other. So, we have to meet up every now and then at a certain place which is a bit hassle and stressful for us because we also have our individual activities as well. Not only that, we are having some conflicts regarding the time because some of us has to attend an important meeting, occasion and other stuffs like that and of course we have to run our errands especially on weekends.
Because of these, we tried project collaboration software so we will be able to update each other about the different tasks assigned to us easily and faster and we will be able to monitor each and every work online which indeed is a hassle free for us.
I think this will really help us to finish and organize everything and hopefully, we can come up with a great presentation. Oh well, good luck to us!

Keep Up The Good Work
My sister is currently working on redesigning their house. It all started when she saw very nice furniture and she thought that she has to arrange and clean up everything in their house before buying new stuffs. She started sorting all their things and she even checked if there are things that need to be repair and thrown for those are not useful anymore. Aside from that, she planned to repaint their house to match the color of the furniture that they will buy.
It’s been a week since they started on this project. There are lots of changes that you can observe now just like in their living room. They put carpets and bin bags which made it more beautiful. And in addition, they are planning to put up a home theater in wall speakers subwoofer so that their daughter will enjoy more in watching her favorite movies.
My sister is very happy with this kind of changes in their house. Probably, she will buy more stuff for their house to enhance its beauty and to become more fashionable yet simple.

Getting To Know You
If you know yourself, definitely you will know exactly what you want and the kind of person you want to be with. Rather than spending all your time dating and getting to know a million guys or girls, why not get to know YOU first?
Relationships are great but they take constant hard work and responsibilities. It is always a bad idea to get into a relationship for the sake of having one. Your college years may somehow be the best times to develop meaningful friendships with both sexes because maybe at that point you have already encountered different experiences and you’re matured enough to make such decisions. We don’t always have to find the one immediately. After all, there’s plenty of time for that.
Maintaining a good relationship has no formula. That said, how then do you find Mr. Right? No one really knows. It can be from trial and error. Maybe practice makes prefect. Nevertheless, one thing we do know, we must concentrate on becoming a better, more interesting person and, pretty soon, somebody will definitely think the exact same way about you.

Her Dearest Grandmother
My friend called me last night and I was shocked because she was crying so hard that I became speechless and stunned for a moment. After a while, I ask her to calm down and tell me what’s wrong. Suddenly, she stopped crying and started to speak.
She told me that their family has certain problems now and they can’t decide what to do. Her grandmother is suffering from a plight and illness. After they found out the prognosis, she got really worried because she is very close to her grandmother.
Their family can’t decide yet on what they should do. So I told her that the best thing to do for now is to go in search of provisions and of course to pray for her grandmother’s fast recovery.
They are currently considering hiring a private nurse at their house to take charge of her grandmother because they don’t have enough time since her parents have to go to work and she has to go to school. They also consider Austin nursing homes in lieu of private nurse because they think that the facilities there will help their grandmother recover faster and easily. They believe that her grandmother will be given proper care and attention if they choose to send her grandmother there.

We Can't Hurry Love
Others may get it right the first time around, while for most people, they have to go through a number of relationships before finding “the one.” Some girls were courted by different guys at different times, only to be left hanging. They gave flowers, went out on a date and then nothing.
Not every guy who comes along is a potential boyfriend, but there are those who will come into your life who will definitely be more than a friend but less than a lover. Just think of Will and Grace. Joey and Phoebe. Don’t grab in just anyone who shows the slightest bit of interest. We have to make friends with others. If they turn out to be lovers, then good for you.
Someday, we will be able to meet the one who is right for us and things will simply get better and better until we can finally say that he or she is worth the wait! So just sit back and wait, for the right one will get there.

A Born Leader
A week ago, my cousin had her first induction of officers at their school. She was pretty excited since it was her first position as officer. She joined two organizations and she was so lucky that she was nominated and voted as the Vice President of one of her chosen clubs.
She was very happy because she really wants to handle a tot in their school society. She really wants to take the position and the opportunity because she definitely wants to share thoughts and opinions for the betterment of their school. Even before, she’s always asking me on how to join and how to run for the different positions at their school organizations since I also became an officer at their school way back in high school.
Because of her great leadership, she was very eager to learn more to develop her skills in taking so much responsibility as a school leader. She even tried to research on some things that go with it to explore something new that will benefit her. Lucky for her, she found different stories like the one with Dennis C Carey which indeed inspired her to strive more and make a big difference for their school.
I believe my cousin is really a born leader and she is fully devoted on her work. I know that she will be able to do all the responsibilities hurled at her with great passion and determination. I hope this will be a great step for her to become a very fruitful leader not only in their school but also in our country.

Kicking The Habit
Realizing similar conflicts keep on happening is a sign that I must be practicing unhealthy relationship habits, though unconsciously. Just like for example, I may gravitate to a certain type of guy, though not necessarily the rebel, bad-boy sort, but definitely, and always as I now know, a guy who’s not good enough for me. For this, I need to re-assess, not my ideal guy, but my wants and needs. Do I go for this type because I feel that he will fulfill a void? And that is another sign of a bad relationship habit: low self-esteem.
Did my relationship end because I wanted to take it to the next level, while he’s happy with the way things are? A good relationship is a joint, mutual decision of two people. If I am never on the same page, then I know I am headed for splitsville.
Breakups happen for a multitude reason and, unless you want to think about it over and over again, you’d only end up with a brain hemorrhage trying to analyze what went wrong. Learn from the mistakes but focus on the now. Ask yourself: What do I want from my relationship now?

I Can't Keep A Relationship!
It is really hard to imagine that I can’t hold on to a boyfriend. “I always tell myself it’s all for the best because things were not working out the way we wanted to.” It’s not like I’ve not been through the same thing before, but it still hurts. It always hurts more every time. I always tell myself that things will be better this time around, but they’re just not. Story of my life, I guess. Two, three, or ten boyfriends, but really, who’s counting? I’ve told myself many times I’ll learn from the last relationship, but I don’t seem to.
Healthy romantic relationships bring out the best in people, but that doesn’t mean they are spared from times that are complicated, confusing and difficult. Sources of agreements can be anything from having unrealistic expectations to making unreasonable demands. Communication, by one or both partners, is a problem too, so that understanding each other is difficult, sometimes even impossible.
There are many reasons why relationships end. Fundamentally, it is irreconcilable differences. Ending a relationship is always painful, hurts more, especially when similar and unexpected problems arise once again.

Beauty And Brains
Why choose one when we can have both?
Some people will tell me that I personify beauty and brains. Well, thanks to that!
I was a member of the student council and the school paper in high school, and definitely was a cheerleader to boot. I am a perfectionist. I usually excel in all my undertakings and makes sure that I learn from all the things I engage in.
Furthermore, I was even part of my high school debate club and I did plan to pursue this passion when I entered college. Sadly though, I wasn’t able to do it because I need to focus more on my subjects. Being a straightforward is my strongest trait, spilling honest-to-goodness remarks that indeed personify one young, capable leader.
I go to school to learn and not to flaunt with my beauty. I enjoy a lot of sports like badminton, tennis, bowling and most especially swimming. I also love dancing since it is one of my passions since I was a kid and I was definitely a part of our dance organization in high school.
Oh well, these are just some of my great points and these may be the reason why some people tell me that I indeed personify beauty and brains. I think, I just have to keep this up and be confident enough.

Oh well, these are just some of my great points and these may be the reason why some people tell me that I indeed personify beauty and brains. I think, I just have to keep this up and be confident enough.
Strive For Excellence
I am an obsessive compulsive person. I always strive for perfection even though I know that there is no such thing as perfect. I just don’t want to mess things up especially when it comes to my priorities and goals of becoming a fashion designer. Yes, you’ve read it right. I want to be a fashion designer someday. Fashion is my passion! I love experimenting with colors, mixing and matching outfits and expressing myself through clothes.
Needless to say, I also want to become a programmer that’s why I’m currently taking up Computer Science. It’s a tough course, I know, but I can go anywhere with that. I know what I want and how to get it and I am very determined to finish my course on time.
A lot of people will surely try to knock me down, but I’m willing to take the risk just to prove them that I’m a strong competitor. I’m not the type of person who will go down to other people’s level just for them to like me. I can make my life out to be exactly how I want it. I know someday, I will succeed and sooner than later, I will be able to pursue my entire dreams.

Thanks Bro!

After my dearest dog Spike passed away, I was then gifted by a new one.
I was very, very thankful to my brother since he was the one who gave my cute, little dog. He got really worried about me because he always sees me crying and crying after what happened to Spike that’s why he decided to buy a new dog for me that somehow replaced the loneliness of losing Spike and fortunately opiates my feelings.
My new dog is two months old. His name is “Stikey”, and it was my niece Bela who named him. I was absolutely euphoric the moment I saw Stikey. I was speechless because at that same moment, I remembered Spike. I became totally nostalgic. I remembered every single day and memories with my one and only Spike. And then, after a while I just ended up saying; Spike is back in my arms again.

10 Things I Want You To Do
These will show guys how to melt my heart!
DO be a shoulder to cry on.
It can be for a major crisis or something trivial. Just make me feel you’re there for me and I’ll be happy with that.
DO show me you care.
I like it when a guy calls, or sends a text message just to say hi, ask how am I doing and say “What’s up?”
DO cook.
It would be great if he cooks for me, because I find it so romantic. My favorite food? Sinigang, blueberry cheesecake and pasta.
DO say it with flowers.
It’s always nice when a guy gives me flowers. I love tulips but it could also be anything. There doesn’t have to be a reason, it could be a surprise or on the spur of the moment.
DO show your support.
I would appreciate it when a guy supports me even to my craziest decision.
DO give me space.
If I were to have a boyfriend, he should let me have a girls’ night out with my friends on weekends or at least once a week. It doesn’t have to be that often, as long as he allows me. And hey, I don’t want a very strict boyfriend! It’s killing me!
DO stay in.
He has to watch movies with me-any movie! And he has to watch Grey’s Anatomy with me. LOL!
DO fit in with my circle.
As a boyfriend, it’s important if he gets along with the people in my life. He has to go along with my family and friends.
DO show me your talents.
It would be nice if a guy were to sing for me. Hahaha… sounds funny but sweet.
DO let me be me.
I would want a girl who lets me be myself…because I’m really a complicated person.
And the three things I wouldn’t want you to do…
DON’T smoke. Most girls don’t enjoy kissing ash tray.
DON’T do drugs. Do I even have to say why?
DON’T be jealous! It’s okay if you’re a little jealous, but there’s a limit to show just how jealous you should be.

How To Deal?
HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH DEATH? A very tough question that once came into my mind.
I guess we just have to deal with the pain as it comes. We never can truly tell when we are okay or when we will be and when we will be ready to face what’s left behind. Sometimes it feels like I will never truly be happy ever, because there's just a big sized hole in my life that could never ever be filled up by anyone else! As in never! Oh well! But still we move on! Because though they're gone, unfortunately for us, we're still here, alive and kicking!!! That's all we ever can do! I wish I could tell you it gets better and more bearable as the years go by, but honestly, it doesn't work that way. Every memory is always there, and the regrets for everything that was and could be. But still I say, give me regret, so long as you don't take the memories away. Because even though it hurts to remember, it's the only way for me to know that that part of my life is real, that it really happened and i would never ever want to forget it!!!
So I say cry the tears! Remember the memories! It hurts but that's everything we have from them. Without that, what else is there???

A Love Story
“Love means never having to say you’re sorry.”
This line captured my eye when I first saw it from the cover of the book entitled “A Love Story” by Erich Segal. Of course my first impression was; “What in the hell was that suppose to mean? How can it be true?” Come on, I say sorry all the time to a lot of people I love. Does that mean that I don’t love them enough?
Come to think of it, how can we show people we love that we love them without saying sorry or asking for forgiveness whenever we do something terrible or stupid to them? I mean, we do hurt other people and sometimes, we even do it intentionally and to hell with the consequences. Likewise, we mess up with other people’s lives without our knowing and the only way to ease the pain and be guilt free of something that we did intentionally or not is to be sorry.
At first, I can’t understand the notion and the deepest point of the author until I finished reading the book. As I go on with every chapter, I finally realized that love is not all about saying how sorry we are to the people we love and we treasure so much. Hence, love is all about sacrificing and giving exactly the right and great things for people. Love is all about putting others before one’s self without having second thoughts and hesitations.
It was a really great story though it was short, it then inspires me with a lot of things.

I Am Better Now
People ask me, “What did you feel at that moment when you’ve learned to value everything that’s been happening to you?” and I cannot even begin to answer. I’m supposed to be a writer and therefore a master of words – yet I grope with my adjectives. More than that, I grope with my emotions.
“Joyful” isn’t powerful enough.
“Bliss” isn’t sweet enough.
“Peaceful” isn’t calm enough.
“Happy” isn’t intense enough.
I really don’t know what to say at that moment. I got back to my room. I shut my eyes. But tears escaped them anyway.
At that point, I knew I was going to be a great and better person. Maybe I was just overwhelmed which made me so speechless every time people ask me about this particular time of my life.
This whole thing changes my life forever. From then on, I learned to value every single blessing in my life. I learned to appreciate them without any second thoughts and hesitations.

Learn To Let Go
Most of us STILL hold on to things that aren't with us anymore. We try to forget them but deep inside we tell ourselves that they are IRREPLACEABLE, that one day, we can have them again.. so we end up silently hoping, even if we know we cannot get them back. It is always wonderful to build our dreams of forever with someone. These dreams inspire people to strive and become better persons. But not all dreams were built in solid grounds. There are some that CRUMBLE WHEN SHAKEN and SUBJECTED TO PRESSURE.
There is nothing wrong in loving a person. But when we begin to lose grip of our own lives because of that, then we do ourselves more harm than good and sometimes, it is what we do not want. Striking a balance between the two is difficult, because we are usually driven by DESIRE and not by NECESSITY.
We act on what we feel, on what we know.Let us always remember that losing someone doesn't have to mean losing ourselves..when love leaves us, we just have to LET GO.. because if it is really meant for us, it will just fall back into our arms AGAIN. But if it is really not meant to be..IT WILL JUST BE GONE.. FOREVER!!

Dreams of Forever
I am almost at the end of my journey. One year to go, my college life will be finally over. But I find the horizon filled with dark clouds. And though I yearn to march forth into the unknown, my heart anxiously presumes negativities. It is difficult to part from an environment where you have spent most of your years. A community filled with familiar faces. Honestly, I am much intimidated by the thought of “working” - foreign grounds with people I do not know. A place and stance I am alien to. But it is inevitable to stay out of our grounds forever, for my timeless stay on it stifles one’s growth. I must develop my abilities by experimenting with values I am unfamiliar with. It is only then that I can truly learn. There is so much to discover in the world - so much to understand and places to venture. If I do not take the risk and apply the knowledge I have accumulated for the past years, I feel that my life would be stagnant.
Graduation is only one segment of our lives. It is only the beginning of a grand adventure. And I want to explore that escapade. Yet I am filled with much insecurity – a certain lack of confidence. I am still not sure if I am equipped well enough to survive the battle beyond. I do not know if I can surpass the impediments life might bring. Nevertheless, as I waltz into a new tune, I shall not let these insecurities dominate me for I was thought not to be a coward. I was handed with faith and hope, that in God I must trust. And when I leave a certain ground, memories would be etched on the walls of the structure that I too might become a part of its history.
The skies are finally clearing and I can distinctly see the path I am to take. Soon, I shall embark on my quest. But faithfully, I shall return and tell you stories about my hardships and triumphs. For somehow, I am assured that though I might venture unto convoluted roads, I shall end in this very space – my beginnings. For wherever I may be, I shall remain rooted in this foundation which has ingrained in me and which will stand the test of time.

I Am Not A Victim
In my life, I experienced so many trials. There were depressions, frustrations and even heartaches. Unfortunately, I’ve failed and I’ve failed really badly but God knows how to use failures.
At one time in our life, we will experience the sweetness of love but time will pass by that we are going to face the bitterness of the so called “love”.
I observed that people talk about love like it was some fickle-minded, neurotic bird that flies in and out of their life, over which they have no control. This is obvious in their vocabulary:
“I’ve fallen in love.”
“I’ve fallen out of love.”
Fallen? What’s that? You tripped? Got pushed? Was hit over the head? That means only one thing: You are a helpless victim of your circumstances.
Gosh. Let me tell you, I’m completely allergic to the word “victim”. Why? Because I am not a victim of my circumstances. I may not have total control over my circumstances, but I have total control over my response towards them!
