Frustrated and Tired

I was with my block mates yesterday. We went to University of Makati to participate in the celebration of the Software Freedom Day but suddenly, the celebration did turn out to be frustrating for us.

We expected that the set up will be like a foundation day with booths and freebies of different software and other computer related stuffs. But when we arrived there, the organizers lead us to the school auditorium and after a while, the seminar started. Yes, the supposed to be software freedom day celebration just turned out to be such a boring seminar.

The seminar merely focused on the open office software which I and the rest of my block mates are very familiar to that’s why it doesn’t gave us any touch of interest. And unfortunately, the hosts of the said seminar are very irritating. They crank up jokes which the audience didn’t understand and the thing is, they dressed formally but then the way they speak and interact with the audience as well as the speakers were very casual and somehow disrespectful.

And here’s the worst thing about the seminar, the speakers who did the talk didn’t give further information and it seems like they are not actually prepared. There was also an instance wherein one of the speakers mentioned that he only did his research in the morning of that same day. So can you imagine how prepared they are?

I don’t want to be so mean (though I know that I am), but we just felt so disappointed about it that we just chose not to attend the afternoon session and agreed to spend the day at Trinoma which definitely is a much better idea. LOL!
