It's Complicated

When I was in my first year of college, we were already assigned to make an individual thesis. Our English professor discussed the process of making a thesis and after that; we were assigned to choose a certain topic base on our own interest and capabilities. She guided us from the start up to the last part of our thesis which is our defense.

At first, I had a hard time finalizing my topic but after studying some possible objectives, I ended up discussing about drug addiction. One of my objectives was to discover the main reasons why people were engaged to this kind of illicit drugs and also, I want to descry why this predicament remains retentive and why our government cannot able to defeat it.

I started conducting a survey containing questions that somehow answered the reasons on why people were engaged in drugs. And these reasons included poverty, lack of guidance and education. After I found out all of these, I started discerning the different facts on why our government lacks cogent solutions to subjugate the use of drugs and even alcohols. Then I found out that addiction treatment in our country was never given the right priority and this is the main reason why more and more people continued to revel on drugs and alcohols. Indeed, our government doesn’t make any difference in maintaining a proper organization that will benefit the victims of this.

Needless to say, our country doesn’t have enough and organized alcohol rehab center which obviously became a big disturbance for the victims. Moreover, our government doesn’t imply the different laws in handling drugs and alcohols in a proper and right way that’s why victims were never given the right education about the harmful effects of these products.

Therefore, I concluded that the government should focus more on building more drug rehab and other organizations to further meet its main purposes. In this case, they will definitely help, save and educate many victims and these victims will surely be able to change their lives.
