Catching Up With My Fave TV Series

I am very much addicted with a lot of TV series but then again, I don’t actually have the time to watch every single episode on its primetime telecast because I’m busy at work so I always come home late. It’s very seldom that I’ll have the chance to catch up with show.

And since I can stand not watching the episodes, what I always do is to download from YouTube all the episodes that I missed. And after downloading, mostly, I’ll do marathon every weekend so I can catch up with the latest episodes and be updated with what’s happening with the story.

Actually, I’m currently downloading the latest episodes and they are about to finish already. Good thing that I’m still off from work today so I’ll have the time to watch until later tonight.

I’m pretty excited as I’ve been waiting for the next episodes for a long time since the TV series that I’m watching went on break and they just resumed early January.

Proud With All The Doctors

Ever since I was a child, I always wanted to become a doctor. Whenever someone asked me what I want to be when I grow up, I remember instantly answering, “ I want to become a doctor”. But then, as I grew up, my path changes but it’s not because I don’t want to become a doctor anymore, but because I’m scared that I won’t be able to do their tasks.

But anyway, since my dream of becoming one already ended, I’m just hoping now that one of my future kids will pursue this career. However, I don’t want to push them to do anything that they don’t want but I’m just praying that somehow, this idea will come up to their minds.

This is the very main reason why I idolize and look up all doctors who do their jobs well. Actually, I know some friends who will soon become one and I’m very proud of them. On January 23, Chinese community will be celebrating their New Year. Here in the Philippines, Binondo is famous as we talk about Chinatown and just before the week of the Chinese New Year, Chinatown was so busy with lots of people, Chinese or not, buying lucky charms, Tikoy and fruits. Likewise, you can also see the dragon dance on the road.

As for our family, though we don’t have any Chinese blood, somehow, we believe in their rituals and some beliefs. My sister is actually the one doing all the shopping and feng shui consultations.

This is our prosperity basket (not quite sure if I have the right name though). It contains rice, some lucky charms, Php88 cash, incense and more.

And lastly, this is our wish paper and incense. We wrote all our wishes on that paper then burned it by 12 midnight and then we lighted up 9pcs of incense to complete the rituals.

Though we believe in some of their sayings, we don’t exactly depend our life there. We still believe in our own faith and we still work hard to have a better future.

Love for Families and Friends

Christmas had passed and I’m so happy with all the presents that I received!

My sister gave me a pair of shoes and my brother gave me a bag. Both are actually on my wish list because I really love collecting different kinds of shoes and bags. In addition, my cousin and my aunt gave me accessories and my friend gave me the best yoga mats and perfume from gap. I really like all of them because everything is so useful to me.

But even if I didn’t receive any presents from them, I won’t mind because as long as I know that they are always there for me, I’m very happy and contented with that. Presents are just material things that can be stolen or destroyed but their love and support for me will definitely last a lifetime.

In the spirit of Christmas, the most important things are not seen but rather felt!

Happy Anniversary!

Yesterday while I was at work, my friend keeps on calling me and said that she’ll be dropping by our office. I told her that I’m busy and I can’t accommodate her because I have a lot of year-end reports to finish. But since she, insisted, I told her that I’ll give her my 15-minute break.

So during my afternoon break, I was surprised to see flower delivery in our lobby and my friend was nowhere to see. I tried to ignore the flowers because I had no idea that it was for me. And when I called my friend, she said, “I just needed at least 5 minutes of your time to drop by the flowers from your boyfriend”. And so I was shocked to finally know that those flowers were really meant for me.

It was actually from my boyfriend and she asked my friend’s help to surprise me. It’s an advance gift because we are celebrating our 3rd anniversary today, December 30, 2011.
I was so touched and very thankful to the both of them for exerting such kind of effort. I love them both especially my boyfriend.

3 days from now, most families will be celebrating the holidays. And with that, I want to greet everyone a very Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year.

Today, I’ll be going to the mall to buy more presents for my relatives and friends. I’m not yet done actually because I don’t have enough time because as Christmas approaches, our office is getting busier and busier, which means that I still have a lot of pending works. Good thing that I was able to file a leave for today until tomorrow so I’ll have 4 days straight vacation.

I just really hope that after the holiday season, I’ll get to spend more time with my friends and work will be pretty much easier. I was just fortunate enough to finish all pending works before I go on leave.

As I go back to work next week, I just hope that I’ll be able to perform well without any hassles and conflicts.

Planning to Study Again

I never thought that I will be able to be in the business or career that I really want ever since before. I really want to be in a fashion industry since I was in high school and I want to work with the people in media or do some work for them.

My job now is somehow related to fashion and at times, I’ve been interacting with media people and I get to train myself for the field that I’m trying to become an expert with. Since I graduated originally to become an IT professional, I believe that I still have lots of things to work on and to study so I can call myself a fashion expert. Perhaps I’ll look forward to enroll myself or get an online degree so I will be able to enhance my skills and talents when it comes to marketing and fashion ideas.

I just really hope that I’ll get to have enough time to process everything needed for an online degree and I hope that it will help me a lot in improving my skills and capabilities in the fashion industry.
